The next morning I dressed up into a comfy outfit as I headed to see my therapist .

“Good morning Harriet How are you doing ?” She asked the moment I sat down .

“Honestly , I’m not okay I had an attack last night “ I replied calmly

“May I ask what triggered it “ she asked .

“I may have drank to stupor he hated it when I drank “ I said

“Hmmm…. What about your pills did you take it “ she asked

Nodding my head in reply “yes I did “

“Alright miss Harriet I’m going to have to repeat what I always say at some point you are going to have to gradually let go off those thoughts and shadows , I know it’s not going to easy but it will definitely be worth it I want you to remember him for only positive thoughts and how proud he felt of you not negative and bad thoughts . I want you to take a break just to ease up go on a vacation try something new it could be a skill . Once you have an attack again I want you to remember you didn’t do anything wrong

Take a break , eat well I’m here if you need to talk “ she advised .

After the session I filled in for my next appointment which was going to be after my vacation

I arrived at the office as I picked up my files for my online classes as I was having my last papers this week

“Harriet “ I heard as I turned towards the direction of who called me

“Cassy ? What are you doing there seated at the reception you could have called or stayed in my office “ I asked her surprised she sat there .

“Wanted to see you and I was told you stepped out felt I could wait here .how are you doing ?” She asked .

“I’m pretty messed up now Cassy ended up in a strangers bed can’t even remember the face all I know is he left a black card behind with a strange logo “ I said .

Cassy had a shocked expression written all over her face

“I’m so sorry I could have been there I was drunk I didn’t realize we lost track I feel so guilty cause I literally forced you to go out “ she apologized.

“It’s okay although I feel so bad like I disappointed Zack “ I replied

“At least he paid the hotel bills but one thing is for sure I’m definitely not attending any mask parties again “ I replied .

“I’m traveling on a vacation need to clear my head “ I told her

“I don’t know yet italy or Paris “ I replied

While we both hugged each other I was grateful for one thing in-spite of all I went through and going through I had a cousin turned sister who had my back and made me smile .
