The next morning I was dressed cooperate in a skirt and button up shirt pairing with my red bottom heels . Picking up my bag I headed downstairs .

“Breakfast is served ” Greta Ma said

“I’m not hungry Ma ” I replied

“ I hope you don’t turn skinny trying to skip meals ” mother said

Ignoring her comment I headed out calling the driver to take me to the office .

I knew father wasn’t going to wait for me considering the episode we had last night and exchange of words .

I wasn’t going to get married to Stephen neither was I going to give up this fight .

The image of the weird guy I had an encounter with flashed my mind as I quickly remembered I had to call Cassy but was cut short as my phone began to ring video call indicating Cassy was already calling me .

“Hey was about calling Cassy ” I answered

“Where are you dressed to so early ” she replied .

“It’s 9:00am Cassy don’t tell me you are still sleeping ” I replied giggling

“Whatever I woke up with hangover , where are you going to ?” She asked again

“To the company ” I replied

“To do what ? Don’t you have online classes ” she asked .

“I will be doing part time father may have gotten angry with the situation last night and said I must work ” I said

“That’s bad I will come over later cousin ” she replied

Dropping off in front of the company , it was literally the third time I was visiting this company I had no passion for business . I always wanted journalism but my parents had been so determined to get me to business school .

Heading to the receptionist she greeted “Good morning ma’am ”

“Morning please can I get the keys to my office ” I said

Handing me the card I slotted in the entered , the typical well furnished modern office , the large television , chair , files ,couch stacked on the table frames of flowers hanging on the wall .

Sitting on the chair I checked the file on the responsibility I was to handle as assessed the file with my eyes .

Hours later , time has passed as I checked the wall clock reading 3:00pm my stomach Grumbled indicating I had not eaten since morning since I had missed my breakfast .

I should probably order breakfast as I picked up my phone . The door opened and Cassy walked in

“Hellooooo” A cheerful looking Cassy greeted

“Hey I was just heading out to get lunch ” I replied

“By 3:00pm what did you eat this morning “” she replied

Keeping mute I stared at her

“Did you take your medications Harriet ” she asked

Handing me a package “Good thing I brought you lunch “ she said .

“Thank you Cassy so ???” I replied

“So?? What ?” Cassy replied lifting her head from the phone

“Yesterday guy that saved us seemed nice ”I said

“Let’s forget about that so what do you want to do ” she asked

“Honestly , Cassy I don’t know I have never felt this confused before I can’t end up with Stephen at all I had an heated argument with my mom yesterday night she’s been so self -centered Cassy I will leave that house if that what it takes ” I said

“You mean like elope ? Cause your credit card is going to be blocked and you will no source of income “ she said .

I sat as I remembered the memories I had with Zack

‘C’mon Harriet I don’t like this character of sneaking around to meet you in-front of your parents let’s meet your parents I will let them I’m interested in getting married to you ‘ Zack said smiling

Laughing so hard I said ‘ it’s so easy for you to start and finish this statement but will you act it ‘

‘You know I hate been labeled as a coward and I mean it ’he replied

‘I understand Zack but in this case you aren’t a coward but I am you have made your intentions clear but I keep avoiding introducing them to you I know that’s bad , I just feel introducing you to them will end this relationship . My parents are against me having a relationship that they didn’t plan or arrange . They feel they have to find the perfect partner I was groomed for an arranged marriage and I don’t want them taking you from me ’ I said .
