After the first ring “hello Harriet was wondering why you haven’t called since ” she said

“I thought I was doing so fine but now I’m not going to lie I don’t know how I feel anymore” I replied .

“Alright can we meet 8:00am ” she asked

“Okay thank you ” I replied .

That’s it I needed to have another session maybe it could help at this point

Changing into my night dress I laid on the bed as sleep finally took over .

Morning later , I woke up by exactly 6:40 am as I rushed to get things done in order to go for my therapy session .

“Breakfast is ready dear ” Greta Ma said as I walked down the stairs .

“Thanks ” I replied as I sat down to have breakfast.

Eating a slice of toast bread and a cup of hot tea I picked up my things as I thanked Greta Ma for breakfast before leaving the house .

The sound of heels walking down the stairs indicated that my mother was already in the house .

“Finally , you decide to grace me with your presence ” she said .

“Oh please mother not today ” I replied

“Harriet dear I’m your mother of course I want what is best for you ” she said.

“Nahh I don’t think so you don’t know what’s best for me have you taught about what I want . You always hand me things I never wanted . Just take a look at Stephen that was never what I wanted or want you know what I need to leave the house take care ” I replied as I walked out

“Keep walking out I still wonder where you got this disgraceful and disrespectful character from ” she yelled behind me .

Minutes later I arrived at the counselor office

Knocking on the door “come in ” I heard

I walked in as I sat for my session .

“How are you feeling,” my therapist asked

“Honestly , I thought I was feeling okay .. I mean they say it’s going to be fine but I doubt it’s going to be the memories keeps coming back ”I replied .

“You know I keep telling you this try writing your feelings in a book or try texting your feeling to him sometimes it helps ” she said .

“I feel guilty cause I still feel I killed him maybe if I hadn’t persuaded him to go to the party he should have been here with me ” I replied .

“That’s the problem You feel pain and constantly keep on accusing yourself for something you had no power over . You feel taking the blame would help you feel at peace or better but I need you to know you aren’t at fault and you didn’t kill him ” she said .

Taking a deep breath I replied “ but I still keep on having dreams of the clash ”

“Have you been taking your pills ” she asked

“I’m not going to lie I stopped taking the pills ” I replied

“ you need those drugs to sleep at least till we find an alternative I won’t advise you to stop ” she said .

“But I feel like a lunatic with those drugs cause I can barely function when I wake up in the morning ” I replied .

“Forget having negative thoughts and take the medication would that be advisable ” she said .

“Alright thanks ” I greeted .

“You are welcome also please do not miss your appointments again no skipping okay?” She said .

Nodding my head in reply she said “ your session is over till we see again ”.

Leaving the therapist room I quickly headed back to the office cause I already received a text from my father indicating he needed me for a meeting

As I got to the office a knock on the door interrupted me “come in ” I replied .

“Ma’am your father requested you fill this form immediately as he would like for it to be transferred to Wilson’s firm ” my secretary said

“Alright ” I replied as I picked a pen to sign the documents .

“Hello beautiful ” I heard as Stephen Mario walked in

“What do you want Mario how did you get in here ? ” I asked .

“Can’t I visit my fiancée again must you be so frustrating ” he replied

“Please Mario not today I can’t have a conversation with you ” I said

“Do you know the problem I have with you babe , you are always so aggressive and frustrating with your choice of words . What happened to being lovey Dovey I mean I get it that you are stressed from work and depression but must it be reflected in your character that’s why I made arrangements for you to be a full house wife all you have to do is stay at home and look pretty for the guests ” he said.

At this stage words would not be enough to show how angry I was feeling at his words .

“Wait ! Mario I don’t understand do you think I schooled to end up being a house wife to someone like you ” I said

“How long are you willing to Fight it obvious you are going to loose this battle especially since you don’t have a say ” he replied while trying to hold my chin as I moved back avoiding his touch .

“Let go off me Mario ” I yelled as I moved back

“Leave me alone Mario ” I yelled again as I slapped him

Grabbing my cell phone “Security ” I called .
