Harriet has always been a very reserved person while growing up , she barely talked and I could remember people making jest of her for her character .

Growing up I did wish I could get into her mind to understand why she was that way but now I’m grateful I’m being given the opportunity to be her closet cousin and I came to realize she is a sweetheart and a very nice girl who is misunderstood .

Dressed in my outfit I walked to my parking lot as I drove off to my destination .

At the reception desk “how May I help you Ma “

She asked

“I need to see Mario Stephen ” I replied the receptionist

“Okay Ma do you have an appointment ” she asked

“No I don’t but I need to see him ” I said

Without exchanging words with her I barged in I could still hear her voice yelling at me to get back as it wasn’t allowed for someone to see the Ceo without permission .

Opening his door with force I saw the one face I dreaded the most with a young lady seated in an inappropriate way on his desk

“Really Cassandra ?!” He yelled as he pulled away from the lady .

My eyes followed her as she adjusted her outfit and walked out of the room not before looking at with irritation and brushing my shoulders

“Hey “I called as she turned back in response

“Don’t worry I don’t need your garbage you can come back for it in 30 minutes and pick it up” I said to her .

“Now listen to me attentively Mario I may have been silent when it came to my turn but you see my cousin I won’t be so silent over it ” I said

“ I was a child Mario I could barely defend my self but trust me if I’m still that child I wouldn’t have Been able to face you today but look at me I’m willing to fight you for my cousin And I will win this battle” I replied

“Stay out of this Cassandra this isn’t your business besides I will be sending you an invitation for our wedding ” he said

“Why are you doing this Mario ?! Why do you always like hurting people from my family first it was me but why do you have to go for someone who is practically my sister ?!” I yelled .

“You are a beast what kind of person would feel no single remorse after all these years. I visited therapist and tried to heal because of what I went through for you ” I replied .

Picking up my bag I walked out angrily as the memories keep flooding my mind it hadn’t been there for a while but just one conversation with him was enough to bring it back .
