I couldn’t do this I can’t be forced to get married it just can’t happen those were the thoughts flowing in my mind as I drove to my cousins house Cassy .

‘Cassy’ I called as I knocked at the front door .

‘Whoa , why are you panting Harriet and what are you doing here don’t you have work ‘ she asked while holding her loosened towel on her chest tightly.

“ I left the office hurriedly Cassy I’m exhausted my father keeps announcing this engagement and it always pisses me off “ I replied running up to her room .

Running after me we both entered her room as we sat down

“So Do you have any plan now ” she asked .

“More rebelling I mean going out and partying hasn’t helped either but it could help if I kept at it and the news Carries it I mean the Mario’s won’t want to tarnish their business ” I replied .

“Hmmm okayy so location ?” She asked beaming .

I was about replying that she shouldn’t mess things up when I was cut short .

“Cassy ?” A masculine voice called her .

“I thought you were home alone “ I asked

“Emmmmm” she stuttered.

As I starred at the doorstep Seth Jay Wilson’s best friend walked in dressed in only his joggers with a glass on wine and two cups on his hands .

“Really Cassy ?” I asked surprised .

“Harriet it’s a no string situation we are just having fun ” she quickly responded.

“Hmmm I hope you are thinking of pregnancies, diseases and heartbreak “ I replied .

“No problem sis I’m safe ” she replied ..

“Okay I will just go chill in the guest room till we are ready to go ” I replied .

Hours after sleeping I rolled on the bed as I checked the time realizing that it was already so late .

The door opened as Cassy peeked in “heyy sleeping beauty finally up pick your outfit ” she said

“Where are you going to ?” I asked

“No cousin , it’s where are we going to ” she replied

“Oh that I’m not sure I’m interested in going out again ” I said

“Nope we are not about to spoil this plan of ours get ready Harriet ” she replied throwing me a clothe to wear .

“Please another time beside I don’t have the strength to drag your drunk self back home ” I pleaded .

“Come on it wasn’t that bad besides this a mask party so let’s just say it’s for fun today then the sabotage can start later please I really want us to go , I promised Seth ” she pleaded

Rolling my eyes in reply I stood up as I prepared to wear the outfit she selected for me already .

“Sis , I know you are trying and I’m proud of you I’m sure Zack is proud of you , I just want you to smile and breath a fresh air it’s always from office home and it has become a repeated routine . This mask party is a party organized by Seth I promise we won’t be long not up to midnight just let loose to and breath air again ” Cassy said smiling and hugging me after .

Dressed in a tight black sequin dress paired with black heels I added a red lipstick and dark eyeshadows trying to do the gothic look for the first time but still sticking with my red lipstick .

“Wow ! You look good cousin ” Cassy replied smiling as she handed me the gold mask .

Standing in-front of the mirror after fixing my hair I looked totally different as I posed for Cassy to take good pictures of us .

Cassy dressed in a red gown and black heels with nude makeup and a black mask .

“The Uber is here ” she said as we both walked out .

Heading outside I had different thoughts on my mind it’s being long since I visited my therapist and haven’t had any recent episode I began to feel guilty that I wasn’t thinking about Zack the way I did always think about him , I began to feel scared that he may be disappointed in me and not proud of the person I was now .

He was never the party person would he have wanted me to be her in a masked party . I thought .

Minutes later we arrived at the club as the bouncers let us in .

The view in-front of me was breathtaking it had gold interior and screamed riches

“Cassy this is beautiful and classy ” I told my cousin

“I know right sis I told you will like it here it’s so beautiful ” she replied smiling .

“Yea it’s perfect ” I replied .

An hour later I was totally wasted and drunk as I danced on the dance floor with a random stranger .

“Hello beautiful ” I barely paid attention to the voice but I knew the stranger was also drunk I barely realized I was already drunk dancing with a total stranger , which I wasn’t one to do but alcohol had gotten the best of me .
