ALEXA’S POV (EVA)

I stood there paralyzed.

How could you shot him, Alexa?

Why did you shot him?

I kept staring at his body not moving.

“Alexa” Jace voice snapped out of my thoughts.

“We need get out of here” Jace whispered and I sent him a glare.

“Are you crazy?” I asked.

“There’s no way you expect me leave Xavier here” I glared at him.

“ But you shot him yourself, so why help him” Jace asked and I couldn’t find an answer.

“Jace can you do me a favor?” I asked.

“What?” He asked weakly.

“ I know you’re weak, but I need you to get to our hide out by yourself, I can’t take you there myself” I replied.

“ But why?” He asked.

“ Cause I need to take Xavier to the fucking hospital, I can’t leave him here and let him die” I yelled.

I exhaled deeply to keep calm.

“Jace do it for my sake” I said in a more relaxed state.

“ Ok, I’ll try” Jace replied and I helped him stood up.

I gave him my phone.

“Call Veera to come pick you up when you get to a safe place” I said and he nodded.

I turned to where Xavier was lying and dragged him up.

I wrapped my hand around his waist, crossing his hand over my shoulders.

After making sure I was far from the headquarters, I slowly laid him on the ground.

I dipped my hand into his pocket and brought out his phone.

Using his finger to unlock the phone, I dialed Liam’s number.

“Hello Liam, I need your help” I said.

“What happened, are you okay? “He asked.

“Xavier has been shot, and I need you to come pick us up” I replied.

“ What!! Where are you now? “He asked.

“I’ll send you the location and be fast about it” I replied and ended the call.

I sent him the location and few minutes later, he arrived.

“Help me get Xavier to the car” I said.

We were already at the hospital and Xavier was at the I.C.U been operated on.

So many questions crossed my mind.

What if Xavier doesn’t survive, what am I gonna do?

But why did I shot him in the first place?

Why must he come to the headquarters?

I ran my hand through my hair trying to calm down but I couldn’t because I was freaking out.

Am fucking freaking out!

Then it all came flashing back.

The one memory I’ve been trying to forget all this years.

I could hear their scream echo everywhere and feel their pain.

There body been burnt alive after it was cut into pieces.

First their hand, then their legs.

Their eyes being plucked out right in front of me and all I could do was just stare.

Everything became fresh in my mind, their scream, their blood flowing freely.

I couldn’t take it anymore.

I ran out of the hospital and continued running with no where in mind.

Tears threatening to fall, but I couldn’t let it fall, I just can’t cry.

I got to an empty street, not minding it was late, I let a painful and loud scream.

Loud enough because I can hear it echo.

My head was already pounding.

I closed my eyes and let out another painful scream.

When it drawn to me that it wasn’t working, I started searching for whom to kill.

My eyes were already scanning through the street and it landed on someone.

I saw a guy dragging a lady along, ignoring all her plea.

He has already torn off her shirt and trying to drag down her skirt.

Anger ran through my whole body and I was already vibrating.

I approached the guy and without wasting much time, I sent him a hard punch, making all his front tooth fell off.

He stood up, growling in anger.

I sent him another punch, sending him to the floor and I pounced on him.

I sent him several punches, disfiguring his face.

I brought out my gun.

“Run” I told the lady and she went up her heels.

I made sure I transferred all my bullet into his body.

I stared at his body as blood was flowing freely.

I squatted and sniffed the blood.

Yeah that’s more like it.

The scent alone gives me an unexplainable happiness.

I went straight home and had a cold shower before slumping to the bed and slept off.

It’s been 5days since Xavier was hospitalized and he is still unconscious.

I haven’t gone to visit him since then.

This 5 days have been boring without him.

I made up my mind to go visit him today and after taking my bath and preparing something for him, I headed off.

I arrived at the hospital and went straight to the doctors office.

I entered without knocking.

“There’s something like knocking, Miss” The doctor said and I almost knocked his tooth out.

“ I came to see Xavier” I said, not wanting to beat around the bush.

“The one you brought here 5days ago?” He asked and I nodded.

“ Tell me, Miss, where have you been all this while? “He asked.

“ None of your business and point of correction my name is Eva, so quit calling me Miss” I hissed.

“ Okay,Eva”He corrected.

“ I want to see Xavier” I said and he stood up.

“ Okay, follow me” He replied.

I walked to the hospital bed where Xavier was lying and upon getting there, I sat down beside him.

“Xavier” I called but he didn’t move.

I sighed and rested my head on the bed.

I shouldn’t have shot him now, I’m not even half way through with my mission.

I felt a movement on the bed, making me sit up.

Xavier was moving his fingers.

“Eva” He called.

I felt kinda of happy hearing him call my name or maybe not.

“I’m here Xavier” I replied.

He tightened his grip on the bed , his chest moving upward and downs.

He was breathing like he was gasping for air.

“Xavier” I called.

I turned to go call the doctor but he grab my hand.

Slowly, his chest relaxed and his breath became normal, and he opened his eyes. A tiny bit of happiness ran through me.

Don’t misunderstand, I was only happy because finally, I can resume my mission.

“Xavier” I called.

“Where am I?” He asked looking around.

“You’re at the hospital,duuh, look around” I replied with an eye roll.

“ What am I doing at the hospital?” He asked, trying to sit up but I stopped him.

“You got shot Xavier, have you forgotten?” I replied.

“ Oh, I remember now” He mouthed.

“Arrrghh, my head hurts bad” He groaned, rubbing his temple.

“ I’ll go call the doctor” I said but he held my hand.

“ Com’on Xavier, I’m not running away, I’m just going to call the doctor, so quit acting like a baby” I hissed and removed his hand.

The doctor did some thorough check up on Xavier and he was perfectly fine just that he was kinda weak.

“Hey,I brought you some food” I said bringing out the flask I came with.

“Really? What did you prepare for me?” Xavier beamed in excitement.

“ Some chicken fajitas” I replied.

“Yummy” He said licking his lips.

“Here, start eating” I said and placed it front of him.

He sent me a puppy eye, pouting.

“What?” I asked.

“I can’t feed myself” He replied.

“You’re not paralyzed Xavier” I rolled my eyes.

“I’m too weak to feed myself” He replied, pouting.

“ Fine, beg me” I said.

“ Must I?” He groaned and I nodded.

“Fine, please feed me, my one and only Eva” He pleaded.

“ What did you just call me?”I asked, sending him a glare.

“ Nothing” He replied quickly.

“Better” I muttered.

I started feeding him and all this time he was staring into my deep blue eyes but I tried avoiding his gaze.

I was done feeding him and gave him some water.

“Thank you” He said and I nodded.

A message popped on my phone immediately.

I unlocked my phone and it turned out be Boss.

“Meet me at the hide out”

Fuck!

I totally forgot about Jace………….
