Chapter 3 The Rogue Attack

Chapter 3 The Rogue Attack

Reincarnated Mate 3.

The Rogue Attack.

As I lay in bed beside Liam, my head resting on his chest. His heartbeat was steady and strong, and I felt safe and secure in his arms. It was a feeling that I had come to cherish more than anything in the world.

As we lay there, basking in the afterglow of our lovemaking, Liam turned to me with a serious look on his face.

"Charlotte, there's something I need to talk to you about," he said, his voice low and serious.

My heart sank a little. I knew that look all too well. It meant that there was trouble ahead, and Liam was about to reveal something that would shake our world to its core.

"What is it?" I asked, already feeling a sense of dread creeping up inside of me.

"The rogues," he said simply. "They're planning an attack on our pack."

My stomach dropped. The rogues were dangerous, unpredictable wolves who didn't belong to any pack. They were known for their violence and brutality, and they could cause a lot of damage if they were left unchecked.

"When?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.

Liam sighed. "I'm not sure. But we have reason to believe that it could be soon."

My mind raced with questions. How would we defend ourselves? What would happen if we lost? What would happen to us if we had to flee? But before I could ask any of these questions, Liam pulled me closer to him.

"I'll keep you safe, Charlotte," he said, his voice low and soothing. "I'll do whatever it takes to protect our pack, and you."

I felt a surge of love for him in that moment. He was strong, brave, and determined, and I knew that he would do whatever it takes to keep us safe.

After a few moments of silence, Liam spoke again. "But I need your help, Charlotte. I can't do this alone."

"What can I do?" I asked, eager to help in any way I could.

"Stay here," he said. "Stay safe, and take care of our pack. And when this is over, we'll celebrate together."

I nodded, understanding. It wasn't what I wanted to hear, but I knew that it was the best thing for me to do. I would stay behind, hold down the fort, and wait for Liam to come back to me.

As we lay there in silence, I couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness wash over me. I didn't want Liam to leave me, not now, not ever. But I knew that he had a duty to his pack, and I respected that.

After a few moments, Liam pulled me closer to him, and we made love once again. It was passionate, intense, and full of love. I felt as though I was giving myself to him completely, body and soul.

As we lay there, sated and exhausted, Liam turned to me and whispered, "I love you, Charlotte. No matter what happens, I want you to know that."

Tears welled up in my eyes as I whispered back, "I love you too, Liam. Always."

And with those words, we drifted off to sleep, knowing that the battle ahead would be difficult, but that we would face it together, as mates.

It is now time for Liam to go and the whole pack is sending him off alongside their strongest soldiers. They leave and the war starts at the boundary between Liam's pack and the rogue pack.

The morning sun had just begun to peek over the horizon when Liam and the pack warriors set out to defend their territory. Charlotte, along with the rest of the pack, stood at the edge of the territory to bid them farewell. I watched as the group of warriors walked down the dirt path, their footsteps crunching against the dry leaves and twigs beneath their boots.

The atmosphere was tense and somber, the air thick with anticipation and fear. Everyone knew what was at stake, and what could be lost if they failed. As Liam turned to look back at us one last time, his gaze met mine, and I knew that he was thinking the same thing.

Suddenly, the sound of a howl broke through the silence, and the group of warriors quickened their pace. I watched as they disappeared over the horizon, leaving me and the rest of the pack behind, our fates uncertain.

Hours passed before we finally heard the sounds of the battle in the distance. The air was filled with the sounds of snarling, howling, and clashing metal. The smell of blood was thick in the air, and I knew that this was going to be a long and brutal fight.

As we approached the boundary of our territory, I saw the gruesome sight of wolves battling each other fiercely. The ground was stained red with blood, and the trees were littered with fallen leaves, branches, and limbs. It was a chaotic and brutal scene, with wolves on both sides fighting fiercely for their survival.

The warriors were holding their ground, fighting back with all their might. I could see the determination etched on their faces as they fought off the rogues, their claws and teeth tearing into the flesh of their enemies.

As I watched from the sidelines, my heart pounding with fear and anxiety, I couldn't help but feel grateful that Liam had trained such strong and capable warriors. I knew that he had prepared them well for this battle, and that they would do everything in their power to protect our pack and our territory.

But despite their strength and determination, the rogues were relentless. They seemed to be multiplying by the second, coming at our warriors from all angles. It was a never-ending sea of teeth and claws, and I knew that our warriors were fighting a losing battle.

Suddenly, a bloodcurdling scream broke through the chaos, and I watched in horror as one of our warriors fell to the ground, a rogue wolf standing over him, ready to strike the final blow.

Without thinking, I ran forward, my heart pounding in my chest. I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins as I lunged at the rogue, my claws tearing into its flesh. The rogue howled in pain and tried to fight back, but I was too quick and too fierce.

As I fought back, I could hear the sounds of more and more warriors falling around me. It was a losing battle, and we were outnumbered and outmatched. But I refused to give up. I refused to let the rogues win.

Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my side, and I stumbled backward, my vision blurry. I knew that I had been wounded, but I refused to let it stop me. I continued to fight, clawing and biting at the rogues with all my might.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the sound of howling ceased, and the last of the rogues fled back into the darkness. I stumbled backwards, panting and bleeding, but alive.

As I looked around at the carnage, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the warriors who had given their lives to protect our pack. And I knew that Liam would be proud of me, for fighting alongside them, for fighting for what I believed in.
