Reincarnated Mate 5.
The New Charlotte.
The moon goddess watched as Charlotte's soul left her grasp and drifted away, leaving her with a sense of unease. She knew that reincarnating a soul was always a delicate process, but something about this particular soul made her nervous. Nonetheless, the moon goddess focused her energy and began to infuse the soul with the magic necessary for reincarnation.
As the soul drifted away, it soon found a new home in the body of a young girl. This new Charlotte was nothing like the one before her. She was smaller and her hair was a deep brown, unlike the golden locks of the previous Charlotte. But despite the differences, the soul recognized its new host and settled in.
The new Charlotte's surroundings were bleak, to say the least. She was in a small, cramped room that smelled of sweat and fear. The walls were bare, and the only source of light came from a small window high up on the wall. The girl herself was curled up in a corner, her arms wrapped around her knees, as if she were trying to make herself as small as possible.
Suddenly, the door to the room burst open, and in walked a group of werewolves. They were snarling and growling, their eyes blazing with anger. In their midst was a tall, broad-shouldered man with dark hair and piercing blue eyes. He was the alpha of the pack, and his name was Jake.
Without a word, the werewolves advanced on the girl, who cowered in fear. They began to beat her mercilessly, and she cried out in pain. Jake watched the scene with a cold, unfeeling gaze. To him, the girl was nothing but a slave, a plaything to be used and abused as he saw fit.
As the beating continued, the new Charlotte could feel the pain and fear washing over her. Memories of her past life started to flood her mind, and she remembered what it was like to be helpless and alone. But even in the face of such brutality, she refused to give up.
With a sudden surge of strength, Charlotte pushed herself to her feet and faced her attackers. Her eyes blazed with a fierce determination, and for a moment, the werewolves paused in surprise. But then, with a snarl, they advanced on her once again.
Despite the odds against her, Charlotte fought back with all her might. She dodged and weaved, delivering quick, powerful blows whenever she could. Her movements were fluid and graceful, as if she had been fighting all her life. And as she fought, something inside her began to stir. It was a deep, primal power that had been dormant for too long.
With a sudden burst of energy, Charlotte's body began to shift and contort. Her bones cracked and reformed, and fur sprouted from her skin. In a matter of seconds, she had transformed into a powerful werewolf, standing tall and proud before her attackers.
The werewolves hesitated, unsure of how to proceed. But Charlotte wasted no time. With a fierce growl, she leapt at them, her claws extended and her fangs bared. She fought with a savagery that was both terrifying and awe-inspiring, and the werewolves soon found themselves on the defensive.
As the fight raged on, Charlotte's memories of her past life faded away, replaced by a new reality. She was no longer the meek, helpless girl she had been before. She was a werewolf, strong and powerful, and she would not be cowed by anyone.
I sat there in the woods, my mind a jumbled mess. Memories swirled around in my head, but they were like pieces of a puzzle that refused to fit together. I couldn't make sense of them, and it frustrated me to no end.
I remembered fighting, battling against an enemy that I couldn't see. I could feel the weight of a sword in my hand, the adrenaline pumping through my veins as I fought for my life. But who was I fighting for? And why?
I closed my eyes and tried to focus, hoping that something, anything, would come back to me. But all I could see was darkness, and I was left with a deep sense of unease.
It was then that I heard footsteps approaching, and I quickly opened my eyes. A group of wolves were making their way through the forest, and as they got closer, I could see the scars on their bodies and the anger in their eyes. They were a rough-looking bunch, and I knew that I needed to be careful.
One of the wolves approached me, snarling as he bared his teeth. I could feel my heart racing as I tried to stay calm, not wanting to provoke him. But he didn't seem interested in attacking me. Instead, he circled around me, his eyes studying me intently.
Finally, he spoke. "Who are you?" he asked, his voice rough and gruff.
"I don't know," I replied honestly. "I don't remember anything about myself."
The wolf seemed to consider this for a moment before nodding his head. "You're not from around here," he said. "This is our territory, and you're lucky we didn't attack you on sight."
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. "Thank you," I said softly.
The wolf didn't reply, instead turning to walk away. But before he disappeared into the forest, he turned back to me. " I hope you find who you are !!!!!
" Me too….
Liam's Pov.
I had been on the road for days, traveling through forests and over mountains in search of Charlotte. The moon goddess had told me that she had reincarnated as a wolf and that I would find her in the south wood. My heart was heavy with grief and longing for my mate, and the thought of finally seeing her again made my chest ache.
As I entered the wood, I saw her sitting there, looking lost and confused. She was a wolf now, with fur as black as night, and eyes as bright as the moon. I felt tears prick at my eyes as I approached her, but I forced them back. I couldn't let her know who I was just yet.
"Hello there," I said, trying to keep my voice steady. "What are you doing out here all alone?"
Immediately she walked from behind now shifted in her human form, Just like the moon goddess said she looked nothing like the Charlotte I used to know but she had said it was the same soul,She just lost all memories,She looked up at me, her eyes full of uncertainty. "I don't have a home," she said softly. "I've been wandering around for days, trying to find somewhere to belong."
I felt a pang of sympathy for her. "Well, you're in luck," I said, giving her a small smile. "I happen to know a pack that would be more than happy to have you. We're always looking for new members."
She looked at me skeptically. "Why would you do that?" she asked.
I shrugged, trying to look casual. "Just trying to do my part," I said. "We all have to look out for each other in this world, right?"
She seemed to consider this for a moment, and then nodded. "Okay," she said. "I'll come with you."
We walked together in silence for a while, me leading the way and her following behind. I could sense her curiosity, and I knew that she was probably wondering who I was and why I seemed so familiar to her. But I didn't say anything, not yet. I wanted to wait until the time was right.
As we neared the pack, I could feel my heart beating faster. I was so close to Charlotte now, so close to finally holding her in my arms again. But I couldn't let her know who I was just yet. I had to be patient.
"Well, here we are," I said, gesturing towards the pack house. "This is where you'll be staying."
She looked around, taking in the sights and smells of the pack. I could see the curiosity in her eyes, and I knew that she was eager to explore her new home.
"Thank you," she said softly, turning to face me. "I really appreciate it."
I smiled at her. "No problem," I said. "Just doing what I can to help."
And with that, I turned and walked away, my heart heavy with the knowledge that I couldn't reveal myself to her just yet. But I was patient. I could wait.
