Chapter 6 The Attack

Chapter 6 The Attack

As we walked, I couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness within me. Here was the love of my life, my mate, but she didn't remember me or the life we had together. It was like starting over from scratch, but at least I had her back in my life.

"Is something bothering you?" Charlotte asked, noticing my silence.

"No, everything is fine," I replied, giving her a small smile.

We continued to walk in silence until we reached the pack territory. As soon as we stepped foot into the pack lands, the other wolves immediately recognized me as their Alpha and bowed their heads in respect.

"Welcome back, Alpha," one of my pack members greeted me.

I nodded in acknowledgment and introduced Charlotte as a new member of our pack. The wolves welcomed her warmly, sensing her innocence and vulnerability.

As we settled into our new home, I couldn't help but feel a sense of protectiveness towards Charlotte. She may not remember me or our past life, but I would make sure that she was safe and loved in this new life.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Charlotte was still struggling with adjusting to her new life as a werewolf, but she was slowly starting to fit in with the rest of the pack.

I would often find myself watching her from a distance, admiring her beauty and strength. Even though she had no memory of our past, I could sense a connection between us that went beyond just being Alpha and pack member.

One day, as I was patrolling the territory, I heard a commotion coming from the edge of our land. I ran towards the noise and saw a group of rogue wolves trying to invade our territory.

"Protect the pack!" I roared, and my pack members quickly formed a line of defense against the rogue wolves.

The battle was fierce and lasted for hours. My pack was outnumbered, but we were determined to protect our land and our people. I fought with all my might, trying to keep my pack safe, but as the battle died down, I realized that Charlotte was nowhere to be found.

I searched frantically for her, calling out her name, but there was no answer. As I was about to give up hope, I heard a faint whimpering coming from a nearby bush.

I rushed towards the sound and found Charlotte lying on the ground, wounded and bleeding. I immediately picked her up and carried her back to our pack house.

Charlotte's injuries were severe, and I feared that she may not survive. As I sat by her side, watching her fight for her life, I realized how much she had come to mean to me in this new life.

"Please, don't leave me," I whispered, holding her hand tightly.

Days turned into weeks, and Charlotte's condition slowly improved. She had no memory of the attack or how she got hurt, but she was grateful to be alive.

As she recovered, I spent every moment by her side, taking care of her and making sure she had everything she needed. It was during this time that I realized that I had fallen in love with her all over again, even though she had no memory of our past life.

One day, as we sat outside watching the sunset, I finally mustered up the courage to tell her how I felt.

"Charlotte, I know you don't remember our past, but I want you to know that I love you," I said, looking into her eyes.

She looked surprised but didn't say anything for a few moments. Finally, she spoke.

"I may not remember our past, but I feel a connection with you that goes beyond just being Alpha and pack member. I love you too, Liam," she said, taking my hand in hers.
