Nadia’s POV:
I shoved Kane aside just as an ice block shattered where he had been standing. “Move!” I barked.
Derek was already in motion, hauling my mother deeper into the narrow cave. The first Wolf King trailed us, relentless. Every step he took made the floor shake as his power flared. Even in his weakened state, he was terrifying.
Kane stepped between me and the King. “You shouldn’t have touched what belongs to me.”
The King scoffed. “Brave words from a broken fragment.” He flicked his wrist, and shadowy tendrils shot from his palms, snaring Kane’s leg. Kane roared as his sun power erupted, but the vines held fast....
