“Nadia!” Kane’s voice cut through the fog as his hand clamped onto mine. We fought through the blinding mist. “Keep a grip on me. We're flying blind. Derek, you good?”
“Yeah,” Derek grunted from the shadows. “I’ve got her mother. We’re solid.”
We battled the haze until we crossed the threshold. Our boots crunched against the frost as we reached the castle. We were covered in ice. I gasped as the twins delivered a sharp kick to my ribs, sensing the ancient power within these walls.
