Rebecca POV:

I almost laughed out loud when Matthew got down on his knees in front of me and asked me to marry him.

The kids were cheering behind me and all I could do was to pretend to be surprised and asked, "What's going on here? Matthew, you're kidding, right?"

Matthew looked at me through gritted teeth and reluctantly said, "No, I'm serious."

I made an even more exaggerated expression of surprise: "I have misheard you, right? How could the Wolf King propose to me? I should still be sleeping right?"

The kids jumped on the couch and shouted at me, "No mom! Daddy is really proposing to you!"...
