Matthew POV:
When I took Max to Rebecca, she wasn't home until late in the afternoon when her car slowly came up.
I asked the driver to block her car and when I got out, I saw her looking at me in horror, but not forgetting to shield her two children behind her.
It looked like she cared about the kids.
I looked at her face, probably because of the light, she was even more beautiful than she was in the rally that night.
She had big eyes, pink lips, and honey-colored skin that seemed to glow brightly, so I couldn't take my eyes off her.
Damn! How could I be attracted to a rude woman like her.
When I tried to explain her intentions, she reacted violently and had the audacity to hit me when she heard that I would take the children.
"The children are mine, and no matter who their father is, they cannot be taken away from me!"
Her strength was so small that her fist didn't hurt at all when it hit me, instead it was like she was flirting with me.
"That's enough."
I grabbed her soft hand, stunned for a moment before saying, "Are you so sure that they are my children?"
Rebecca froze, her face immediately flushed, and shook my hand away with force.
"That's right, they can't be your children, how could it be you who slept with me that night! He's much gentler than you!"
Her angry look was so cute that I smiled and wanted to tease her, "What if I was the one who slept with you?"
"You!"
She was so angry she couldn't speak, like a furious puffer fish.
Of course, she was much prettier and cuter than a puffer fish covered in thorns.
Suddenly, I realized that I was too outwardly emotional and immediately put on my face and changed the topic back to her about the child: "It's useless for us to argue now. The DNA test report is the most powerful evidence."
After saying that I was going to go in to find the two children.
"Hey! Stop!" Rebecca rushed up to block my way, glaring at me and saying, "There is no DNA report and maybe they are not your children, so you can't see them without my permission!"
She had a point and I stopped in my tracks.
"So what do you want?" I threatened her, "If you're harboring the Wolf King's children, then you're committing a crime and I can put you to jail."
Rebecca still refused to budge: "The DNA test only needs the child's hair, which I can give you. But I am their mother before the results come out. You are a stranger and wait for me here, I will take the hair down and give it to you."
After saying that, she took a few steps back warily and looked at me. Seeing that I didn't mean to follow her, she hurriedly opened the door and went in, then closed it hard.
I looked up at the children on the second floor, the boy looked at me for a second, then quickly jumped off the ledge, while the cute girl was smiling and waving to me.
She seemed more like her mother, but much more affectionate.
I couldn't help smiling along with her and then raising my hand to greet her.
However, just as she was about to stand up to open the window, her brother pulled her away and pulled the curtains shut with force.
I stopped smiling and said to Max, "If he really is my son, I'm afraid he won't listen to me."
Rebecca came down quickly and handed me two envelopes reluctantly.
"Here, the envelopes have names written on them, and in them there were Vivian and Charles' hair."
I gestured for Max to take the envelopes and thanked her.
"If it is confirmed that Vivian and Charles are my children, I will not treat you badly, at least I want to thank you for giving birth to them and for taking care of them for the past five years."
The children looked healthier and more active than many noble, or even royal, children.
Although I didn't know if Rebecca is a good woman, she was a good mother.
Rebecca, however, did not appreciate my kindness and snorted with contempt: "Are you showing your sympathy? Or do you treat me like a beggar who plots to do something? They are my children too and I suffered a lot to give birth to them. Is it appropriate for you to say such words?"
She spat on me: "Of course, you are not a good person if you separate children from their mothers."
I questioned in a hushed voice, "What are you saying? I just thanked ......"
"You needn't thank me. I said it's only right to take care of my own children, don't you separate me from my children, you bastard!"
She found out my hypocrisy. She' s really a smart woman.
"And don't be too happy, Vivian and Charles may not be your children because they are so lovely that they can't have such an abominable father like you!"
After saying that, she turned around and was about to leave.
Looking at her from behind, I couldn't help laughing.
"Rebecca, the DNA test results will be due in two days, and I will send someone to pick up the three of you from my manor then."
Rebecca didn't turn around and slammed the door shut with force.
I looked up to the second floor and the cute girl named Vivian was waving at me.
It seemed someone was calling out to her, and she blew a kiss to me and immediately jumped off the ledge.
I was suddenly looking forward to them being my children, and I was proud to have such lovely children.
Two days passed in the blink of an eye and the DNA report would be delivered to my manor by noon.
I asked the driver to pick up Rebecca and the three of them from the manor and then asked the butler to prepare a nice lunch.
If they were my children, then they had to be treated in the best way.
Following Rebecca all these years, they should have had a hard time and as a father I must compensate them.
I shall give them the biggest rooms, the most toys, and also send them to the best werewolf school.
I fantasized about how I would take care of those two children in the future when the butler told me that Rebecca had arrived.
I looked downstairs from the French window, and Rebecca was wearing a white dress and holding Vivian in her arms, wearing a princess dress, with great tenderness.
It was the first time I had seen her look so gentle.
If she was willing to stay and take care of the kids, I think I would have said yes.
She soon came into the living room and I was inviting her to sit down when she immediately interrupted me: "Has the results come out yet?"
I was a little dissatisfied: "Not yet, but it should be due soon."
Looking at her frown of disgust, I couldn't help asking, "Do you hate it here? You don't even want to wait? I've even prepared a sumptuous lunch to welcome you."
"Of course." She answered rightfully, "This isn't my home, would you feel comfortable in someone else's home?"
I was just about to say of course when she retorted, "Also, Your Majesty the Wolf King, you are a shameless guy. No matter how awkward you are, you won't feel uncomfortable."
I snarled her name: "Rebecca!"
I was about to teach her a lesson when the butler pried open the living room door and told me that the DNA test report had arrived.
I was so excited to take the report from the housekeeper that even my hands were shaking.
God knows how much I was looking forward to becoming Vivian and Charles' father.
Rebecca also immediately came to my side: "Let me see it too."
I opened the envelope and turned to the last page of the report.
