The next day at breakfast I told the kids about the playground we were going to on the weekend with Matthew.

The children were overjoyed and they excitedly started counting the number of days until the weekend.

They even made a countdown calendar and as I watched Vivian carefully stick it to the bed, my heart was poked so hard that I couldn't help but count down with it.

Charles held my hand and crossed to a day on the calendar, he smiled and looked at me, his smiling face reminded me of Matthew, who did the same that day, with an innocent smile.

The weekend soon arrived...
