Back at Anna's house, I avoided the kids and talked to Anna alone about what had just happened in the Misty Woods.

Anna was happy for me when she heard that I would get the $10 million and be able to run away from Matthew and raise the kids on my own, but was very worried.

"California is far from Maryland and Matthew can't control the packs on that side, but will you really make it when you head to California?" Anna sighed, "I shudder to think how the Wolf King would punish you if he knew you were sneaking away with his children."

That was my concern...
