Selene's POV

We emerged from the Shadow Realm at dawn.

The gate groaned behind us as its massive doors slowly closed. The darkness faded, replaced by the pale light of the rising sun.

I stood on the threshold, barely able to remain upright.

My body trembled from exhaustion.

The battle had taken almost everything from me.

But I was alive.

I looked back at the gate.

The ancient runes were fading, their glow becoming weaker with every passing second.

Nyx was gone.

At least for now.

I wanted to believe she had been defeated for good.

But something inside me refused to accept it.

Darkness like hers did not disappear...
