Selene's POV

I traveled for two more days before the White Fang Pack finally appeared beyond the mountains.

The village rested deep inside a frozen valley, surrounded by towering peaks covered in snow. Stone houses lined the narrow paths, their roofs thick with ice. Smoke rose from chimneys, disappearing into the pale sky.

The wolves here were different.

They were tall, strong, and silent. Their white fur blended with the snow, making them difficult to spot from a distance. Even the children moved carefully, watching every stranger who entered their territory.

I slowed my steps as I approached the main gate.
