The morning after the battle was strangely quiet.

I stood on the balcony and looked out over the city, watching the first rays of sunlight spread across the rooftops and the streets below. The Doom Moon had faded from the sky, leaving behind the soft silver glow of the ordinary moon, while the stars slowly disappeared with the coming dawn.

For the first time in what felt like forever, there were no horns announcing an attack, no warriors rushing through the palace, and no screams rising from the battlefield.

Lunaria was still standing.

I had done it.

I had defeated the Moon Goddess and protected my people.
