ERIC'S POV

Blood was everywhere, soaking into the ground beneath her, and the sight of it alone made me frightened. I can't ever forgive myself if anything happens to her.

Even though Derek's sickness was the main cause of this, I still believe I play a part in it as well. If only I had known, I would have paid closer attention to her and not felt too relaxed.
