CASEY'S POV

I stood there with my face brimming with a smile to know that Eric wasn't ashamed of me; rather, he was so proud to tell the woman just how much he cared.

This was all I ever wanted. I have always hoped for love, and not just any love, but true love. But I never got it from my first mate, Derek.

While Derek and I were dating, years ago, he made sure we kept our relationship a secret from everyone around the pack. Whenever we were found together, he would always say we were just friends and nothing more.
