Lola
She traipsed toward me, her steps fluid and calculating. Even with all the smiles and faux friendliness, I could see clearly how much she hated me. She thought of me as a distraction, a competition. I did the same.
When she sat beside me, jealousy roared in my veins. I didn't like that she was here. Her presence was a reminder of what Rowan and I could never be.
