Lyra walked into my office, her face visibly radiating with excitement. “There's news,” she beamed.
I could use the distraction, after all, I hadn't accomplished much even though my eyes had been glued to my laptop all morning.
“Spill, Lyra,” I said in a lazy drawl.
She scoffed, stomping her foot on the floor. “Don't kill the fun, Mr Grouch. Guess who is visiting,”
Nothing came to mind so I shrugged. “Cut to the chase, Lyra,” My tone became stern.
