I expected him to crack up and admit that he was joking but nothing of the sort happened, instead, he continued to gaze at me expectantly.

Feeling rather gobsmacked, a deep chuckle trickled out of my throat. It didn't stop there as I roared into a hearty laughter, attracting the attention of passersby.

He pulled me away from the foyer and then to the field, saying nothing as my laughter faded into soft giggles.

“Reid, what did you just say?” my voice croaked from all the laughter.
