Breakfast, the next morning was silent, anxiety filling my stomach faster than the overnight oat did.
I was two scoops away from emptying my plate when his deep velvety voice cleared, causing my insides to fold. Till now, I couldn't get his passionate expression while groaning my name last night out of my head.
It stuck there, reappearing every millisecond just to torment and remind me of what I couldn't have.
