I continuously stomped my feet against the marbled floor, anticipating to get called upon for the interview.

After Reid and I had that discussion on our goals and career, I began to apply voraciously to several companies and so far, this was the first company that called me up for an interview.

It didn't help that Reid was still sulking because of our argument, and was unable to offer me the emotional support I needed. Even though I hadn't developed romantic feelings for him, he was still very important to me.
