BRIDGETTE 

I froze, wondering what she could possibly be going to the river for. There were other sights where they could go, except the river. It wasn't too much of a problem though, but it felt a bit risky considering that kids were involved. What if something bad happened?

"The river?" I asked, doing my best to stop the rising unease. 

She nodded. "Yeah. It's just going to be a few short trips for a few hours and we'll have lunch by the water. They are going to love it." 

I bit my lip, a bit confused about what the best answer would be.
