I scoffed, shaking my head as well in an effort to block out what the doctor had said. "It doesn't mean anything. If he actually cared about me, he wouldn't have sent me to that place. He would not have sent me to where I nearly got killed."
She frowned, seemingly not impressed with what I had said but she wouldn't be reacting that way if she had gone through the pain first hand.
