I could hardly hold back the tears as I stumbled through the doorway of my room while clutching my side. It ached like hell. My legs felt so weak, and they trembled with exhaustion because of the endless work that I had been forced to do back there, not to mention the beating I'd gotten from that crazy man. I would have been dead if not for that woman. I had no idea who she was, but she clearly didn't belong there.
