The next morning came faster than I expected and by the time I was done dressing Daniel, the sun was already up. I looked at the time again. It was already getting to the scheduled time for departure but I wasn't going with them together. We were to get there separately.
His little legs kicked as I checked his shows again, before I brushed his hair from the back, making him giggle. The sound of his giggle was full of life, and I couldn't have wished for anything else in that moment. I whispered softly in his ears and I lowered myself, smiling.
