It hasn't even been 10 minutes and I can still feel his racing gaze on me, making it difficult for me to sit still.
I slowly turn my head to look at him and immediately see his brown eyes that have been staring at me for the entire hour.
His brown eyes give me a strange feeling. I don't know why, but I have the feeling that I saw him once or met him somewhere. But I just have no idea how to know him.
He didn't really introduce himself either.
More information would have helped to know whether I really knew him or not.
Damian Harrison. That's what he's called. He is the Alpha of the Prevendlus pack.
Prevendlus is one of the most dangerous packs from across town. A few of us almost peed our pants and a few of us looked at him dreamily.
So more to the point, the girls looked at him like that. And I, on the other hand, couldn't lower my gaze, just stared at him and thought about how I knew him because I had this feeling inside me.
Oh, it's all getting too much for me.
Maybe it's just my imagination that I know him!
I shake my thoughts away and turn back to the front.
And exactly at that moment the door is thrown open and Atea, who is almost out of breath, bursts into the class.
I have to start smiling.
"I'm so sorry, Mrs Smith. "I had to get something and that's why I'm late," she apologizes to Mrs. Smith, who is already looking at her angrily.
"A lot of people are late today," she says and then she looks at me.
"Don't look at me like that. I had a reason why I was late!" I defend myself.
"Do you really think I believed you, Alisha. "I know Daya just wanted to protect you," she says annoyed.
Oh, now she's calling me or something!
Why is she annoyed with me again!
"Atea came late and not me," I tell her and look at Atea, who looks at me slightly angrily. Well, actually we both came late.
Mrs Smith just rolls her eyes and looks back at Atea, who is now grinning slightly at me.
Suddenly I hear a growl from behind and I immediately turn around.
Dean, who is also one of the new students who is also Damian's beta, growls at Atea and practically stares at her.
If Damian hadn't held onto his shoulder, he would have gone straight to Atea.
Damian whispers something in his ear that I don't really understand.
But why did Dean growl at her?
Oh, these wolves are all so complicated.
I turn my head back to the front. Atea, who has no idea what just happened, just comes up to me without turning to the new ones.
"You're really late. Where have you been again?" I ask her as she sits down next to me.
"I wrote you a message," she tells me.
And now I remember what I forgot!!
I simply forgot my cell phone at home!!
" I had to walk to school today and I forgot my cell phone at home or maybe I lost it, I'm not sure," I tell her.
"That's why you didn't answer," she says.
I just nod.
How could I forget it!!
" By the way, where is Ethan?" she asks me quietly.
"I don't know that. He just said he had to do something with Delphine."
"I understand" is all she says.
Then we pretend to cooperate.
And yet I still feel his gaze on me.
He should finally stop it!
-
“You go ahead! I'll come right away. I just have to go over to my locker for a moment," I say to the others and grab my bag and go to the locker.
I stop in front of my locker, open it and put my books in it. When I put the books in and closed the locker, I was startled at that second when I saw a person next to me.
I look at him, slightly shocked. He leans against the locker. He has his hands clasped together.
"What do you want, Tris?" it comes from me.
He smiles at me and I look at him annoyed.
"I don't have to answer that for you because you already know the answer, Alisha," he grins at me.
I just roll my eyes.
Now I can't stand this guy, but I used to love him. After all, we were a couple until I broke up with him.
Today I regret from the bottom of my heart that I was once with him.
I want to walk past him without saying a word. But, as I already know him, he won't just leave me alone. He grabs my arm and pulls me a little closer to him.
This makes me notice that a few students are looking over at us. Great. Again this attention I don't like!
"You can't ignore me all the time, Alisha"
“As you just saw, I can do it! Now let me go, otherwise-" and of course he continues talking, interrupting me before I could finish.
"Anything else? Do you call your friends?" he tells me.
Don't pay attention to him, Alisha!
That's what he wants, and that's what he's wanted ever since you broke up!
I breathe in and out, calming myself slightly so I don't lose my temper.
"I won't tell you again. Let go of my arm!" I tell him seriously.
"You shouldn't have broken up, Alisha," he tells me, slightly tense.
"That's exactly what I did. As you can see, we are no longer a couple!"
"I told you before that you would regret it"
Okay, he's annoying me!
"What else do you want from me, Tris! We separated then and it was the best decision I ever made! Since I broke up with you, I feel a thousand times better than before! I'm happier without you by my side! You should finally be able to understand this! The two of us simply don't belong together and never will!" I say.
Instead of him letting go of me, his grip on my arm becomes much tighter, causing me to tense up slightly. Before I could say anything else, he turns me over to the locker and pushes me onto it.
I narrow my eyes slightly because I feel a slight pain on my back. I look at him angry and tense.
I notice that all the students' eyes are on us and one of them burns me with his gaze.
When I look briefly to the right, I notice that Damian is looking at us and seems a little tense.
Why is he reacting like this now?
Alisha!
Concentrate!
I look back at Tris.
"Be careful how you talk to me Alisha. You know I can do bad things to you!" he tells me angrily.
"Just because I'm human doesn't mean I can't defend myself, Tris," I tell him.
He looks at me briefly questioningly.
I immediately gather my strength and lift my knee up. I hit him in the sissies, causing him to bend over slightly in pain.
As he does this, I stand behind him and grab the back of his head. I pull his hair lightly and move down closer to his ear.
"Even though I'm human and you're an animal, that doesn't mean I can't defend myself when a wannabe wolf acts macho. My friends are all wolves, like my own family. They all taught me how to defend myself and I just did that without any help from them. So, I'll give you some advice from me now. You'd better stay away from me, otherwise you'll have a huge problem with me and we both know very well that you shouldn't mess with me if you don't want to have problems!" I tell him seriously and let him go.
I look at him for a moment until I reach for my bag that I left on the floor when I put the books in the locker. I pick it up and then walk past him as he slowly stands up.
I ignore him and continue walking towards Damian, who has been watching us the whole time, as well as other students. Yes, I ignore them all and move on.
"You'll regret it Alisha Gilbert!" I hear Tris say angrily.
I turn to him as I continue walking. I smile at him.
"I want to see that, Tris Bulltend!" I say with a smile and then turn around again.
I notice everyone looking at me and a little shocked that I did that because I'm just human.
Well, never underestimate the strength of a person!
As I walk down the hallway towards Damian, who keeps looking at me, I keep my eyes on him until I walk past him. But before I could walk past him, Tris growls my name loudly.
"ALISHA!!"
When he did that, I completely jumped and turned to him in shock.
One of the reasons I can't stand werewolves.
I don't like it when they growl at me, especially when Tris does it.
As I turn to him, I don't notice that I'm moving even closer to Damian, who is now standing next to me.
Yes, I ignore that completely because I have my attention focused on Tris.
Tris looks at me angrily. His eyes turn gray as he releases his inner wolf, allowing him to remain in his human form.
Now he is very angry with me.
Whenever he's angry with me, he lets his wolf dominate and you can tell right away that he's pretty angry.
Without meaning to, I start to feel afraid.
Why do I always get scared when someone releases their wolf!
"Ethan" I whisper my brother's name to myself.
Why are you never there when I need you!
Before I could turn around to stop him from killing me, someone suddenly stands in front of me.
It's not just anyone whose broad back is in front of me, allowing me to look over his shoulder at Tris.
It's Damian. Damian Harrison, the new student in this town and the person who makes me burn with his gaze.
Why is he helping me?
Before anyone could say anything, he suddenly starts growling, giving me goosebumps all over my body. This growl causes each student to lower their gaze to the floor.
The Alpha growls at Tris.
Everyone lowers their gaze.
Except me.
Tris immediately notices that Damian is an alpha and immediately lowers his eyes, which return to normal.
What power.
The hallway remains silent, allowing me to hear my heartbeat.
Is it normal for me to react like this?
Damian slowly turns to me and growls slightly at me. Yes, I have no intention of lowering my gaze like the others do.
I just look at him.
He is standing a little too close so that I can easily feel his breath on my face.
His jaw is tense, just as his body is tense.
Why do I feel this feeling inside me?
I continue to stare at him as I hear the others wondering why I don't lower my gaze since he's an alpha.
Even I can't answer this question. After all, I don't know this answer myself.
I just don't have the desire to do it. Even though he is the alpha, I have respect for him, but I just can't lower my gaze. My body doesn't want it because I just want to look at it.
It doesn't work either because I'm stuck in his eyes and I just can't look away.
The former question I ask in my head is: How do I know him!
I have to ask him, even if this is a bad moment.
For this reason I take a slight step closer to him. "Why do I feel like I know you?" I say in a light whisper.
He tenses his jaw slightly. A reaction that might be true?
Does he know me too?
"No," he says so coolly that I immediately get goosebumps.
Damned!
His rough male voice, which I hear for the first time!
Before I could say anything else, he turns around coldly and simply disappears. His friends follow him.
I continue to stare at him as he walks down the hallway.
He definitely knows me!
And I'm so sure of that.
Finally, I have this feeling inside of me that I know him and this feeling doesn't lie.
For this reason, I need to find out as quickly as possible where I know him from and why I react to him this way.
Let's see what I can find out.
