"And how was school?" asks Ethan, who is standing in front of my car and waiting for me because school has just finished and we can finally go home.

I stand in front of him.

"School has become even more boring than I thought," I tell him.

I used to have a reason to go to school, but not anymore!?

"Yes, I know," he says and then gets in, which I do immediately. Then he starts the engine and drives off.

"Is Mike home yet?" I ask him.
