Hazel stirred on the bed. It was dawn already.

The curtains were drawn back and allowed the sunlight to stream into her room casting bright beams across her face.

She flicked her eyes open to the slightly open drapes and blinked a couple of times against the bright light streaming through the windows while trying to adjust her eyes.

When she could finally see clearly, she let out a low groan, sighed, and rolled onto her side, burying herself in the blankets.
