“Kylie, no. Stop. We should go back home,” I begged for the sixth time in ten minutes, but she only kept forging ahead without listening to my reason. Yes, I counted the number of times. I tried to keep up with her, jogging every time she skirted another thick tall tree with a giggle. While I was struggling for my life, she was having fun with it. “Kylie I thought this was a good idea before, but I thought wrong. We can get a better gift for Mom’s birthday within the pack, not this far out. Let’s go back, please.”
