That’s the question mom asks me right after we agree to dinner together, and my head pulls back in confusion.

“Huh? What do you…”

Mom points to my window before I can finish asking, and my head turns, stunned, as I catch a build that I’m not proud to say I can identify anywhere with my eyes closed, disappearing into the shadows.
