I and Adrian were sitting behind the pack house where nobody could find us and talking about our next line of action when we suddenly heard footsteps against the grass from behind, at first I thought it was an animal stepping on a grass, but it happened again just when Adrian was touching my stomach. And this time around I was certain there was someone behind us.

I and Adrian immediately looked back only to see Ava walking towards us.

I paused, my heart almost jumping into my mouth.

Did she hear everything? Wa she going to tell Ethan? Was it over for me?
