"you must be Ava right ?' the girl asked, her voice cold and curt.

"I'm Ava, the Alpha's mate. And who might you be?" I asked, trying to keep my tone neutral.

The girl's eyes narrowed, and I saw a flash of anger in them.

"I'm, Serena the Alpha's girlfriend," she said out, her voice dripping with venom.

I gasped at the revelation, feeling a wave of jealousy and insecurity wash over me.

I had known that Ethan was not entirely faithful to me, but hearing his girlfriend brought all my insecurities to the surface.
