It’s been a long time since I saw Shantel, so I decided to have lunch with her today. It was unusual for an Alpha’s mate to eat with the servants, but it was the only place I could eat with Shantel, for servants were not allowed to feast in the royal dining hall. Today as I stepped into the kitchen, I realized Shantel was missing, and then I decided not to say anything yet. There was no need for me to panic; perhaps she’s lost tendering to her flower.
