"Rest, my love," Alexander coaxed, laying his wife on the bed. Alexander refrained from asking why Jennifer felt so sad, only able to guess.
Jennifer complied, doing nothing but gazing at her husband's face, trying to memorize every detail. She stored as much of Alexander's face in her memory as she could. The black pearl-like eyes. The strong jawline. The sharp nose and beautiful lips.
After tonight, we won't share a bed anymore; I have to go through with my plan. I'm sorry, everything I do is for Dad and my two brothers. I'm sorry. Jennifer thought to herself.
