3. Nightmare.
Alexander closed his eyes. Then he drifted off into dreamland. A dream was a flower of sleep, delivering his flowery heart. A sleeping flower also surrounded him.
In his dream, Alexander had just come home from school. The private driver drove his van at full speed as if something bad had happened at his parents' home. The van came through the prime door, went into the large yard of the home and stopped at the terrace, the front door. A female nanny opened the door for the young Master.
Alexander, 6 years old, got out of the car. As if he had a hunch, he ran up the stairs to the second floor, to the primary bedroom, his parents' room.
The 6-year-aged child entered the chamber with his two caregivers. His tastes fell on the sloppy bed. Pillows and bedding were unkempt. His feelings turned to the floor, which was no less confused with make-up and other objects scattered on the floor of the chamber, the make-up mirror cracked as if they deliberately threw a hard object to break it.
The place was so cold with the AC on, now his attention turned to the juice on the bath door, there was fresh blood there from the marks of the hands crawling. The two female nannies stopped the 6-year-old child's steps. However, little Alexander chuckled to get into the bath.
the little boy stepped into the bath, closed the door. He nuzzled the door.
“Ah,” little Alexander shouted, he couldn't hold back his fear, what he saw there. The mother had died by hanging herself with a rope hanging from the bath ceiling, while her father laid lifeless on the floor with blood dripping from his stomach, which was right under the turned on faucet.
The nightmare that had not haunted him for a long time now reappeared, even on his wedding day.
Hearing her husband's screams, Jennifer awakened. She looked at her husband's sweaty face.
“Honey,” Jennifer called, trying to wake the man sleeping beside her.
However, Alexander did not awaken, it still tormented him in his dreams.
“Honey, wake up!" Jennifer asked, patting her husband's cheek.
A moment later, Alexander woke up and hugged her, as if frightened.
“I'm afraid,” the husband whispered, his face sweaty.
“Don't be afraid, I'm here!” Jennifer said, calming Alexander by continuing to stroke his back. She kept rubbing it, hoping the man wouldn't be shocked anymore.
Not long after, Alexander's breath returned to normal. He unraveled his embrace, released his hand and then laid down again.
“Did you have a bad dream?” Jennifer asked, leaning back on two pillows.
Alexander changed his position to the side with his rear to his wife. He didn't want to look weak in front of the woman who was a prisoner of his revenge. The man thought back to the nightmare that had just come to him, as real as it had happened 22 years ago.
“Don't worry, dreams are just flowers of sleep,” Jennifer confided softly stroking her husband's hair.
Alexander did not answer, silent in a thousand languages.
“From today on I will accompany you, so sleep and let me take care of you,” Jennifer whispered quietly, still stroking the back of her husband's head.
Alexander pretended to be snoring and breathing, hoping that Jennifer would stop her babbling. He was sick of hearing the words of the girl who was fooled to know. However, instead of ignoring him, his new wife approached Alexander's body, covering her husband's body, hugging him from behind and burying her face in his wide back. Jennifer still loved him indeed even though last night he changed and was rude.
Alexander, who was still awake, didn't expect Jennifer's actions after he had been rude to her many times and made her feel annoyed and indeed cried. His wife was still willing to hug and comfort him. On the one hand, he regreted he had hurt her, but he had to take revenge, revenge because Jennifer's dad caused his parents' suicide.
Alexander changed his relaxing position, watching Jennifer, who was now fast asleep with one hand on her body. He looked his wife's tired face, beautiful.
Alexander leaned his body next to Jennifer. Sleeping on his side allowing his wife and resting his face on the palms of his hands.
He watched Jennifer, who was still asleep, rubbed a few strands of hair that covered her forehead, wiped the sweat from her forehead and stared at his wife intently.
Alexander was still looking at Jennifer's face. For the first time, he admired the way Jennifer slept, the beautiful thick eyebrows, the curly eyelashes, the tiny nose, and the flushed cheeks.
Alexander, seeing a smile tugging at his red lips, could it be that Jennifer was having a sweet dream about him?
Alexander turned his back to Jennifer. Instantly he became very upset. When the nightmare came to him, Jennifer smiled in his dream.
**
It's morning, Alexander woke up first. He showered and got ready to eat with his wife's family. However, his wife was still fast asleep.
“Wake up!” Alexander ordered as he grabbed his wife's hand.
Jennifer was shocked. She got up and looked at her husband in horror.
“Go take a shower. Your dad is waiting for us in the dining room!” Alexander told.
Jennifer walked to the bathroom, while Alexander stood in front of the mirror, looking his own good looks.
Twenty minutes later, they were ready to head downstairs. Alexander took his wife's hand. He didn't want his father-in-law to be suspicious and didn't allow him to bring his only daughter.
“No, say anything to your dad, got it!” he whispered before reaching the dining room.
Jennifer nodded.
In the dining chamber, there was already Mr. Charles in the primary seat, Andrew and Arnold. Jennifer's two older brothers seated on the left, while Jennifer and Alexander seated on the right.
The three of them smiled, seeing the newlyweds.
"Here, eat with us!” Mr. Charles invited.
Andre, Arnold, Jennifer, and Alexander got busy with their breakfast dishes.
“Dad,” Alexander called.
“Yes,”
“The plan, this morning I will take Jennifer to my home, is it okay?” Alexander asked, his face full of hope.
Andrew threw a seductive smile at his brother-in-law. Meanwhile, Jennifer hoped his dad would not approve of it. She was afraid that Alexander would be more cruel to get because just last night when she was still in this house, the man had acted rude. What about later?? Jennifer closed her eyes in fear at the thought.
“Of course I give, I believe you will take good care of my daughter!” Mr. Charles replied, not at all suspicious.
Alexander looked down. He smiled a satisfied grin, then he turned to his wife.
“Honey, from now on, Daddy has entrusted me to take care of you. Are you willing to come with me?” Alexander offered, touching his wife's hand. The look on his face looked hopeful, excellent at acting.
Jennifer, who was afraid, nodded. These were the bad things that would happen to her every day.
