I walked through the streets of the city, my heart heavy and my mind racing. I was aware that I was floating through the air like some kind of a ghost. I had hoped to find solace and rest in Wade's home, but as I approached the familiar building, I could already hear the sound of raised voices.

I hesitated for a moment, wondering if I should turn back and find somewhere else to rest. But my curiosity and concern for Wade won out, and I pushed open the door.
