I was ecstatic about attending the party. Once the stepmother realized that I had the higher stakes, she kept her mouth shut and allowed me to come.

I arrived at the party and I marveled. She outdid herself with the decorations. The party was grand.

The microphone beeped and everyone settled down.

"Everyone, may I have your attention please?" The M.C. announced.

The noise died down as people gave the stage their attention.

"Thank you,"

"We all know why we are gathered here. We want to celebrate the efforts of the supporting families in our company." He announced.
