As I lay in bed, I couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't quite right. I closed my eyes, hoping to drift back into a peaceful sleep, but instead, I found myself transported to a different place entirely.

I was standing in a room I didn't recognize, and in front of me was my mother, but she looked younger than I had ever seen her before. She was seated at a table with a young girl, who I realized with a start was a younger version of myself.
