I was still reeling from the argument with Blake over the release of Miranda. I was insistent on keeping her locked up, but I couldn't stand the thought of Blake not speaking to me. In the heat of the moment, I made the impulsive decision to release Blake's stepmother.

It wasn't the best solution, but it was the only one I could think of at the time. I tried to throw myself into my work to take my mind off of things, but I couldn't focus. The guilt and doubt weighed heavily on my mind, and after just a week, I couldn't take it anymore.
