Nadia’s POV:
“Mother? Why were those guards looking at us like we were monsters?” Before she could answer, a blinding light washed over us. We watched, stunned, as the mirror flew from Mother’s hand. It blasted the guards into dust, and right before our eyes, a man appeared in white armor.
I stared in silence as my mother broke down. They hugged each other tightly. Then he turned and faced me. “Hello, Nadia.” Tears blurred my vision as I threw myself into his arms.
“Welcome back, Dad.”
After a long moment, we pulled apart. “The First King never died, Nadia. He was only frozen.”
