We rushed to the she-wolves' quarters and found the place in shambles. I nearly lost my breakfast at the sight. Whoever did this was a monster—plain and simple.

“Any leads?” I asked, my voice heavy with exhaustion.

“None. But it wasn't Lyra,” Derek answered immediately. “She was too busy trading blows with you to be the one gutting wolves back here.”

Kane pulled me close, his hand a warm weight on my lower back. “Have you tracked everyone’s movements? Especially the women?”

“We were waiting on the logs when the border went south,” Derek muttered.
