Chapter Twenty — Shadows and Maps
DiCaprio:
“Liam is gone.”
The words hit like a hammer.
“Lock down the east wing!” I bark, already moving. “Close every exit and seal the elevators. If he gets past the second floor, it’s your heads.”
Guards scramble. Alarms start screaming again. I don’t wait for confirmation—I’m already sprinting through the corridor.
He won’t get far.
Not in my house.
Not with blood still drying on my floor.
Ten minutes later, he’s found.
Half-conscious. Bleeding from a stun round. Pinned beneath two of my wolves near the archives wing, not fifty feet from the last security checkpoint.
