Rionna put in a good word for Carter, "Carter is not a bad man, he is very caring and I wouldn't want you to speak ill of him, he has been through a lot in life, and being crippled doesn't make him useless, he is better than any able-bodied men, too."

When Morris heard her, he felt good within himself. "So this tiny woman has a good impression of me," He says to his wolf, "It's like she has changed from the foolish Rionna to a smart Rionna, and I am getting to like this one."

"Say that again, who would have known she could be this smart," Phil agrees with him, he felt she was speaking like someone else. They both wonder what changes in her.

But when Rionna walked out of the villa, she felt very scared because she had heard a lot of things being said about the rogue leader from the servants around her that Rogue Morris is a super dangerous and ruthless person who is very cold to people who offend him and she was very surprised and wonder where she got the guts to argue with such a dangerous man.

He seem to have allowed her to go after speaking so rudely to him but one thing she knew was that she can not stand anyone speaking badly of her mate.

"Agnes do you think he would want to help me get the drug again, I don't know why I should defend Carter without thinking of the consequences of my action," She complained to her wolf immediately after she got out of the villa.

"He would have gotten you arrested or even have you killed if it made him angry, didn't you see the way his face looked when you were speaking of Carter, it was like you were speaking, complimenting him.

"Oh! I forgot to ask him if he has gotten Malva Sylvestrisis," Her anger at his words made her forget about the drug. "I can't go back in there again, he might be angry and decide to kill me so I would ask him when next I visit him," She decided to mention it the next time she met Rogue Morris.

Back at home, Rionna wanted to check Carter's leg to see if there is a way to diagnose it and help to make him walk again because she does not want anyone to insult Carter for his disability. She felt bad when Rogue Morris spoke ill of him.

However, when Rionna arrived at the door of Carter's room, she was stopped by Carter's servant. "Let me through."

*Our master is not in his room and we can't let you in,"

"Okay, let me know when he is around." Rionna began to wonder about Carter's whereabouts but, thought that Carter has always respected her privacy, so she should stop to pester him and decided to go back to her room.

A few minutes later Luna suddenly asked to see Rionna and Carter.

"Agnes, who is this, another family member?" Rionna asked because she could not recollect who she was.

"She is Luna of the pack and the stepmother of Carter, and your aunt from your father's side," Agnes explains to Rionna.

Luna Garcia was also the stepmother of Carter and she hated him because he was a threat to her son's position as Alpha of the pack. Carter happens to be the first son of the Alpha, he also has a right to be the Alpha of the pack.

When Rionna knew who Luna Garcia was, and that she was also nice to the previous Rionna, she was afraid of revealing her true identity to her, so she decided to keep quiet so that her identity would not be revealed.

"So you regret your action now, how can you even think of having an affair with Wesley when you know he is mated to your sister," She scolded Rionna for attempting to seduce her son.

When Rionna did not give her a response, Luna thought that Rionna already regretted her action, so she decided to forgive her for seducing her son. But Luna hated Carter and has always treated Carter very badly because he was the first son of her mate, so when she look in Carter's direction her hatred for him increased so she decided to treat him badly

"You, you, you cripple what are you doing staring at me like that," She sneers while looking at Carter, Carter immediately averted his eyes and look the other way. Rionna was surprised to see Luna speak to him like a servant.

"I am sorry Luna," Carter apologize.

"Come over here now," Luna orders.

Carter wheels himself closer to Luna who strikes him on the cheek. Rionna seeing this was in a daze when she saw the drama unfold before her eyes. She wonders why Luna was treating Carter who was in a wheelchair badly

"What did I tell you, you are not allowed to look when I am speaking to you?" Luna scoff, was already used to her treatment of him, so he bowed his head and didn't show any reaction when she slapped him on his cheek.

"Now kneel before me, you disabled man," Luna said with an evil smirk on her face. She always derived pleasure when treating Carter badly. She has tried everything to get rid of him but this fool refused to die, so she has concluded in her mind to make his life a living hell for him.

Rionna was fuming in anger, how can someone be so cruel to treat a disabled person the way Luna was doing now, she clench her hand in a fist, on one side she didn't want to reveal her true identity while on the other side will she just stand and do nothing while her mate was been treated badly
