Soon the news of her healing the child got to the hearing of Alpha Johnson and he was curious to know if it was the same Rionna that was asked to mate with Carter or some other person, he heard of her attempt to drown herself in the river, so he mind-linked both Roinna and Carter and asking them to come to him in the pack house. He found it difficult to believe that she survived despite her weak state of health.

"So, it's true you are the one who heals the child? I must say I found it difficult to believe that you insolent she-wolf would do something as great as healing a disease that every physician here could not do," Alpha Johnson confronted her.

After her maid was gotten rid of, she turned to the alpha and she promised that she would be nice to her mate, "I promise from now onward, I would be nice to Carter and treat him well and promise not to go after Wesley again,"

After making her promise, Rionna and Carter left the Alpha. And immediately after, Rionna left Alpha’s mansion, she finally fainted from exhaustion because she was still very weak.

Carter took her to his room when she fainted and observed her face looks pale. She also looked exactly the same as Rionna, but why did she smelt differently? This was surprising to him, " How is this even possible, her face is the same but her scent is different," Carter says to his wolf.

"Maybe it is the working of the moon goddess," Phil reasoned with him

With that thought in his mind, Carter decided to find out what happened to her when she drown herself, so he asked Lucas, who treated his disability, to help him treat Rionna. Lucas could not find anything strange about Riobna and told Carter this girl is weak.

"This she-wolf is weak, she has symptoms of cancer and it has done a lot of damage to her body, that is why she is weak, it is the cancer that made her skinny, and from all indications, she will not be able to survive the next 5 years, I am sorry this girl is going to die soon" Lucas diagnosed.
