Carter stared at Rionna coldly and he didn't even show a pitiful expression when he found out that Rionna survived. He wanted her dead since it was part of his mission, Rionna thought it was reasonable for Carter to hate her since the previous Rionna had gone too far that she even climbed into her sister’s mate’s bed trying to seduce him.

She wonders what prompted the previous Rionna to do something despicable as seduce her sister's mate, has she no shame, how could she descend so low to do something as bad as that? Rionna realizes she has been put in a difficult situation by her previous self.

‘How do I make him understand that I am not the previous Rionna,’ she asked her wolf, ‘that Rionna has put me in this odd situation now and I don't think Carter would forgive me.’

‘You will need to prove yourself to him and try to make him understand,’ Agnes advises me.

‘Was the previous Rionna sick in the head, how could she not want to mate with someone as handsome as Carter, girl, he is one hot guy,’ she’s already ogling.

‘You badass chick, you never let anything good-looking guy pass by you,’ Her wolf teased her.

"You haven't seen the person she seduced, so you can't just judge her," Agnes reprimand her.

‘She has made it difficult for me to have a smooth ride with him, how do I make amend?’ Rionna asked.

‘Time will help mend everything,’ Agnes responded, Rionna know she was right but it was going to be difficult given the way he was looking at me.

‘Aww! I hate my old self,’ Rionna expressed her feeling to Agnes, ‘Moon goddess, why put me in this difficult situation, he thinks I hate him, how do I start explaining to him that I am a different person?’

‘Remember moon goddess always has her reasons for everything she does, you can't blame her,’ Agnes replied.

Rionna saw Carter look at her with scorn in his eyes, he was using his eyes to throw daggers at her.

‘Look at his eyes, I know he must be disappointed at my action and probably would not want me again, he has refused to say anything to me, he just stood looking at me like a criminal, like I committed some hideous crime, I should do something to wipe that look off his face.’ Rionna murmured.

While Rionna was still thinking of opening up a conversation, he clears his throat. "Well since you are still alive and kicking I think we should reject each other and move on since you hate me to the point that you would rather die than be with me," He said in a cold voice that send cold shivers down her spine.

"Wait, I am sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you, please forgive me," Rionna plead, she have no intention of letting go of him now that she had laid her eyes on him. Her previous self might have offended him but she has to do all she can to make amend.

Carter looked at Rionna with an evil smirk on his face and shook his head while still sitting in his wheelchair. "Sorry," He says like someone tasting out how the word 'sorry' tasted, " Can not sorry wipe out the disgrace to my person, am I that ugly that you couldn't stand the sight of me and you felt death was the best option?" He added in anger.

"No no no, of course not, I didn't mean it, I know you won't believe me but you are absolutely not ugly, please find it in your heart to forgive me."

"So what do you intend to do? Leave me feeling guilty that someone killed herself because she was mated to me, that she could not stand the idea that I was an ugly cripple," He said to me and I flinch at his tone of language. It was painful hearing him say those words.

Noticing Carter planned to leave the room, Rionna struggled to stand up from the bed and tried to explain to him. She wanted to build a good relationship with Carter because he was the only one she can rely on in this unfamiliar pack.

But when she just stood up she could feel that her body was super weak. As a top doctor from her previous life, she knew clearly that her body lacked nutrition. But, why a Beta’s daughter was malnourished?

Suddenly a maid who stood next to Rionna said, "Ho! shame on you to ask your mate to forgive you, why didn't you think of that when you seduced your sister’s mate? Everyone will mock him if he dares forgave you."

"Who gave you the right to interfere in my affair? it's like you don't know your place as a maid in this house. Next time you speak without being spoken to, or you will be dealt with, what nonsense," Rionna chastises her, what insolent attitude.

A lot is happening here, and she just has to find out what this is later but she needs to resolve this issue with her mate.
