One Week Later
This is the moment Maria has been waiting for her entire life, to marry Thomas, the man she loves.
Maria appeared nervous as if she didn't know what to do. She cried as she glanced at herself in the mirror. "Hey, don't cry, it'll destroy your make-up," Jasmine said with a slight chuckle then fixed her hair.
She shook her head and rolled her eyes at her friend. "OMG, this is it!" She then exclaimed, pausing for a little period to inspect her broken watch.
"What time is it, exactly? I believe we should depart. Is the driver waiting for us outside Jasmine?"” She asked her friend.
"Yes, darling, and I believe your entire family is currently awaiting you at the Paradise Island venue."
“Oh gosh, I feel like I am so nervous at this moment…”
“Shall we?” Jasmine said and smiled at her, escorting her to the outside of her apartment.
She moved as if her feet were barely touching the floor; she is so happy, and no one can take that away from her.
"Damn lady, I didn't realise you were today's beautiful bride... but I'm happy for you, and I hope Thomas appreciates how fortunate he is to have someone like you," Jasmine said as they walked outside.
She was touched by what Leila said to her, and she was about to cry, but she restrained herself because she was aware Leila would say that she was ruining her make-up again.
"Thank you so much, Jasmine!" Your heartfelt thoughts mean a lot to me... "You are the most amazing friend I've ever had."
"Oh no, don't make me weep..." Jasmine stated this as she assisted her into the bridal car, then kissed her cheek and said “I’m happy to see you happy…”
When she heard those words from her dear friend, her happiness trembled within her. The driver then asked if they were ready because the wedding is starting in two hours and they needed to take the rented yacht to take them to the island where the beach wedding would be held.
"Yes, we're prepared," Maria replied happily.
Maria and her companion both got out of the car as soon as they arrived at the port of the yachts they had rented for the day.
Maria and her friend both got out of the car as soon as they arrived at the port of the yachts they had rented for the day.
Leila was caught aback by what she saw, her mouth gaping open as she gazed at the magnificent yachts, then enthusiastically at Maria.
"Did you truly rent a yacht here?" With a sparkle in her eyes, Maria asked.
"Yes, it's inexpensive because boss William claimed his friend is the owner, and he offered me the low rent so my wedding would be memorable..." Olivia chuckled.
"You are really blessed, girl! William, our boss, is a wonderful person! I hope that someday my wedding will be as beautiful as this..." Jasmine’s eyes were shining with hope as she pressed her palms together.
"Of course, Jasmine...with your lover, you'll be a gorgeous bride someday..."
"Nah, no...My mother is conservative, so I don't have a boyfriend..." Leila responded with a witty remark.
"Oh, I have to find the bridal yacht..." While searching for a tag or tarpaulin for her bridal yacht, Maria said.
Jasmine abruptly informed her that she needed to find a restroom as well. "Can I come back for a moment? I'm in urgent need of a pee...”
"Of course, Leila..." She gave a kind nod while still looking for the tag.
She went up to the yacht as soon as he noticed the hanging tag with "Bridal yacht" inscribed on it and texted Jasmine once she got inside.
She carefully ascended, assisted by an elderly gentleman, to the yacht's interior.
"The bride is so beautiful..." the old man murmured as she smiled at him and expressed her gratitude.
She grinned at the yacht's size, thinking that the owner of this yacht was quite wealthy. She remembered her boss's statement that his friend owned the yacht she rented, therefore she received a discount on the rent. While waiting for Jasmine, he sat on the couch. Then she Dialled her friend on the phone "Leila, where are you?"
"Yes, I am here, I've already boarded the yacht... I'm just eating, and there's a lot of food in here!"
"I am here in the cabin and when you've finished eating, to be here with me...I am alone you know…” she softly spoke.
"Okay, you've made it to the cabin! I'll see you in fifteen minutes, okay?"
“Yeah sure, enjoy your food!” She said and closed her eyes for a little bit.
What she didn't realise was that her friend was on a different yacht, and she had boarded one that wasn't supposed to take her to her wedding destination.
Meanwhile, Arthur was driving his yacht when he heard a woman screaming underneath him, and he thought it was coming from the cabin, or was he hallucinating?
But the second time, he heard the woman yelling for help and screaming wildly. He was puzzled as to why he had a woman on his yacht if he was the only one on board while on his way to the other island he had purchased today.
"Damn it!" He muttered something quietly and brought the yacht to a halt in the middle of the sea.
"And why is there a woman here?"He stated it in an annoyed tone and went downstairs to check on the lady who was crying and asking for help.
“Impossible!” He muttered as he gazed at the lovely bride in front of him, his heart skipping a beat. His brow furrowed, but there was no denying that he admired the lady and thought she looked lovely in white. He's still enraged, though. How did she get here?
Maria stuttering around this man for the first time and her nerves prickling is a sign that their chemistry is locked in.
"What are you doing on my boat Bride?!" He asked with a serious look on his face, staring at the bride, who was suddenly looking like a mess.
"I must return to the port!" She cries and begs.
"It's too late now! We're out of fuel..."
